Reversed Jabberwocky
Jabberwocky Rewritten so the Predator becomes the Prey...
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought...
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through.
The vicious jaws went snicker-snack!
It left him dead, and with his head
It went whiffling back.
And hast thou slain my foolish son,
Ye omnipotent wight?
Yea, I did, ye regardant foe;
Twas a gnawsome fight.
And if by merest happenstance;
You should enter the Tumtum groves.
The Jabberwock, the Jubjub bird,
The Bandersnatch, perchance:
Shall rend and gouge your flesh away,
And share you with the toves.
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
